So you are looking to increase your competitive bricklaying edge!
BT Engineering is here to help
Traditionally we bricklayers are taught to build a corner making sure each brick is level and plumb. The time it takes to pick up and put down your trowel and level all adds up, and I won’t mention the times we’ve put down the level to have the apprentice move it!
To stop wasting this time and lay to a line.
For 50 years, bricklayers around the world have been using BT Engineering’s tools to make more money and get home sooner, and they are now available in Illinois.

We are pumped to be able to introduce Miguel Pulido who is looking after the sales in Illinois. Miguel has been a union bricklayer for the last 20 years, so he knows what it is like being pushed by site managers to get it done faster. Or the pressure to use poles when you don’t know how to.
He is ready to take your calls, explain how he uses BT Engineering’s tools on his sites and get some stock to you. If you are in the in the Chicagoland area and suburbs Miguel has a heap of stock and can come out to site and share with you the advantages of using poles as well as the other tools and table saws that are available.

Line Ferrets are not real bricklayers!
I know a lot of you think that it takes the skill out of the job and that it is killing the craftsmanship of the trade. There are cases for both methodologies. It is about giving your crew the options. Why utilize your most qualified bricklayer on simple jobs when they can be earning their keep. Doing far more interesting and technical jobs such as arches, herringbone patterns or difficult junctions or detailed interactions with timber/ steel frames.
Speed poles come in various forms and have been around for years. Their problem is they are poor value for money. Yes, they increase your efficiency, but the initial outlay is significant, who has $2000+ for a starter kit. You have to work close to a week just to pay for it that is before you make any of the savings. If you have never used them, it can be seen as a risk.
What if I told you can start laying to a line for as little as $250 with no special set up requirements such as drilling holes in slabs or laying the first course.
We have been making bricklaying tools for the last 50+ years. We know what they need to stand up to onsite and pride ourselves on manufacturing robust simple products. So simple most of our products is simply 3/16 thick mild steel.
So, if the only thing that is stopping is not knowing, that is cool. We can help with that, and we won’t tell anyone!
